CONNECTICUT FUND FOR THE ENVIRONMENT (CFE), founded in 1978, is the state’s nonprofit legal champion for the environment. CFE utilizes law, science, and education to better air and water quality, control toxic contamination, minimize the adverse impacts of highways and traffic congestion, protect public water supplies, and preserve the open space and wetlands so crucial to both the state’s citizens and its wildlife. GREEN PARTY OF CONNECTICUT, is a unity of local Green Party chapters. The party is committed to grassroots democracy, social justice, non-violence and ecological wisdom. PEOPLE'S ACTION FOR CLEAN ENERGY (PACE) is a public health and environmental all-volunteer organization formed in 1973 by a group of concerned Connecticut citizens to: promote the development of alternative sources of energy, especially passive solar, solar hot water, and photovoltaic energy; encourage the efficient use of energy; develop a spirit of conservation among Connecticut residents; and challenge Connecticut's commitment to nuclear power and nuclear weapons. SIERRA CLUB - CONNECTICUT CHAPTER. Inspired by nature, we work together to protect our communities and the planet. The Club is America's oldest, largest and most influential grassroots environmental organization. The Connecticut Chapter follows events in the state and lobbies in Hartford for environmental causes.
